Tremosine and surroundings
Tremosine and surroundings
“An Eden between the lake and the sky!
It is an enchanted village where the Alps dive into the blue Lake Garda and the alpine atmosphere merges with the Mediterranean. A village where the charm of pristine nature feeds the spirit and life flows peacefully and simply, following the rhythm of the seasons. A village where holidays are magical and unforgettable!”
The town consists of eighteen small villages nestled on the hills of incomparable scenic beauty that dominates the entire Lake Garda. Tremosine, with around 72 square kilometres of land, is located in the heart of the Alto Garda Bresciano Park. Here, the highest mountains of the Park blend in with the blue of Lake Garda, offering up settings which cannot be equalled, a true paradise!
Landscapes and views, divided between the mountains and the lake, are of rare beauty. Just head to Val di Bondo (Bondo Valley), towards Passo Nota and Passo Tremalzo, to immerse yourself in wild and unpolluted nature.
However, also Val Brasa, once animated by the forges and the mill, and Val Tignalga with the hermitage of San Michele and the picturesque waterfall of the Lavino River, are areas to explore with with ease and curiosity.
An original combination of opportunities and interests that makes holidays in Tremosine unique and unforgettable.
There are many sports for you to take part in thanks to the presence of the lake and mountains: On foot, by mountain bike, on horseback: you are just spoiled for choice.
Just a few chilometres far from our Villa!
Many have already described it as "the most beautiful cycle path in the world", others as "the path of dreams". Certainly the panoramic view and the position overlooking Lake Garda make this bike path one of the obligatory stops for those who love walking or cycling, letting themselves be enchanted by the surrounding landscape.
The path has a total overall lenght of 2 kilometers, but the path is about 6 kilometres long departing from Limone south (round trip is around 12 km, a nice walk for families and tourists), awaiting completion to Riva del Garda.
It is walkable 24 hours a day and illuminated at night.
Strada de la Forra
The Strada de la Forra (The Street of the Gorge) is amazing. It is carved into the rock at some points and at others it juts out from the cliffs, leaving you in awe. At the opening, in 1913, a correspondent for the Frankfurter Zeitung defined it as the most beautiful street in the world. Travelling on it, in a few minutes you go from the animated Garda shore to the tranquillity of the plateau. The terraces overlooking the lake reveal Nature in all its glory.
